'Lock Me Down'

It’s around that time,huh?

“Cuffing Season”

All the statuses and tweets about wanting a boo, It’s getting cold or hoping to have someone for the holidays are flooding my timeline. I think it’s funny. Why only want someone only a few months out of the year instead the entire 12? It’s crazy because both men and women complain everyday about how the opposite ain’t nothing but who’s the blame especially with situations like this?  No one is the blame but yourself; if it’s truly your fault. Instead of complaining of what he or she doesn’t have or what you can’t find(although in some situations this maybe true—there has gotta be one), maybe you should take a good long look at yourself and change what you don’t feel about yourself.  Become who you’d like to be. Most people say they know everything can’t be perfect but still expect it to be. Let me say nothing is perfect. You might not just meet “Mr.Right” or the “Wifey” type right away. You might have issues you will have to resolve. You might have to forget about your pride. You might have to let go of that old flame to start this new fire. You might have to put your heart out there but I’m sure when it’s all said and done it’ll be worth it.   So let’s try and make this “cuffing season” a little different and extend it. I’m not saying settle down especially if you’re not ready but let’s make it work, even if it means going against the odds. But then again everybody is a knowitall and I’m just saying what’s on my brain. Y’all ain’t listening.

  1. It's the same thing everytime about this time of year. Such seems to be the status quo. No one should be looking for a boo JUST BECAUSE it's getting cold. You get in a relationship for something deeper than that.
