Starting Line Up:Where There Are Questions,There are Answers.

The questions that come with this are usually;

Does my other have a team?

Am I on THE Team?

Should I have a team?

First questions first, NOT EVERYBODY HAS A TEAM. --Personally, I don't.-- Some people do. If your other has opposite sex friends, believe they are just that. Unless,it is an overactive friendship. There might be several of these people depending on your partner. If you are curious,Ask. You do have the right to know, especially if you are uncertain.

Are you on THE Team? HMM.....chances are yes. But where? That you won't know until the obvious factors arise. S/He,if they have a team, might have fill you are or aren't qualified for a positions until they better know you, understand you, or loose/gain a member. As the coach, they are looking for whoever will better benefit them.Always keep that in mind.

You don't need a team. Let me say it again,YOU DON'T NEED A TEAM. If you are in a good relationship or forming a good relationship, this is totally unnecessary. This is where TRUST comes in. Although your partner may not have all of your trust, it is ok to leave everyone behind if you feel its right. Also, If you have other motives such as education and a career, you don't need a team. Remember these are first priorities. Your partner should never interfere with your goals, ambitions, dreams, etc.
God is always your number 1 player.

***Don't assume anything. You may not be on THE Team. S/He may not have a team. You don't need a team. Don't ruin a good relationship because of insecurities. This article is not here for that. It is for pure entertainment and truth.***

Starting Line Up

Lately it's been alot ALOT of talk about cuffing season and "THE Team".

What is THE Team?

  • The Team”: all members are someone of interest on one of the several possible levels outlined below
    ~
Self explanatory usage. In short, it’s where you want to be.

Who Is one THE Team?
 #TEAMTerminology
  • Might make the draft”: When a person is seen to have potential, they might make the draft. Team Owner is still deciding whether or not to draft them for The Team.
    • ~ Met this guy on Saturday – tall, handsome, smart…if he’s single, he might make the draft.”
  • In the game”: you’re playing well, probably getting regular dates, either haven’t screwed up (making you part of the starting line-up) or have rectified a screw up well enough to retain your status and still have potential
    • ~ “Oh, Clifford? He’s in the game – we had dinner Wednesday and I’m seeing him again on Friday.”
  • “On the bench”: you are on The Team, but on the sidelines either as punishment and having been downgraded, or a simple “time out” due to better players in the game – there just isn’t room for everyone in every game.
    • ~ “Bad news: I had to bench the new guy. Blew up my phone and left 3 voicemails in one hour. We don’t get down like that.”
  • ”Team Captain”: you are the LeBron, the front runner for Winter Boo status and considered an MVP. Don’t get it twisted though. See that full bench behind you? They’re ready to take your spot. Stay sharp!
    • ~ “He sent my favorite flower, loves my writing, and can make
  • “Visiting All-Star”: you are worthy of being on The Team and are rarely benched or traded, rather allowed to get in the game when the team schedule allows. You are a Free Agent, and The Team is not trying to sign you to a contract. You are only asked to show up and suit up on game day.
    • ~ “Nah, I’m coming to the party solo. XYZ is just a visiting all-star, he’s not my man.”
  • “Cleared the Bench”: got rid of the “standbys”. This can happen for any number of reasons, including the request of a particularly special Team Captain or even just a general want to upgrade the talent. As Team Owner, I might just go and clear it out of being underwhelmed. Can’t have a losing team, and an empty bench beats losers sitting on it.  Team Owner can draft again when moved to do so.
    • ~Self explanatory usage. I told everyone to STEP!

  • “Traded”: got rid of one, replaced with another – even a benched player CAN be traded for another benched player
    • ~ “Yeah, he didn’t last. Had to trade him before we even got to the second date.”

This, ladies and gentlemen, is THE Team.

'Lock Me Down'

It’s around that time,huh?

“Cuffing Season”

All the statuses and tweets about wanting a boo, It’s getting cold or hoping to have someone for the holidays are flooding my timeline. I think it’s funny. Why only want someone only a few months out of the year instead the entire 12? It’s crazy because both men and women complain everyday about how the opposite ain’t nothing but who’s the blame especially with situations like this?  No one is the blame but yourself; if it’s truly your fault. Instead of complaining of what he or she doesn’t have or what you can’t find(although in some situations this maybe true—there has gotta be one), maybe you should take a good long look at yourself and change what you don’t feel about yourself.  Become who you’d like to be. Most people say they know everything can’t be perfect but still expect it to be. Let me say nothing is perfect. You might not just meet “Mr.Right” or the “Wifey” type right away. You might have issues you will have to resolve. You might have to forget about your pride. You might have to let go of that old flame to start this new fire. You might have to put your heart out there but I’m sure when it’s all said and done it’ll be worth it.   So let’s try and make this “cuffing season” a little different and extend it. I’m not saying settle down especially if you’re not ready but let’s make it work, even if it means going against the odds. But then again everybody is a knowitall and I’m just saying what’s on my brain. Y’all ain’t listening.

Show no love, love will get you killed.
No, love but love wisely. If not, that's suicide.

QotD. Sept.1

Somebody should have told us that not many people have ever died of love. But multitudes have perished, and are perishing every hour- and in the oddest places!- for the lack of it.
